My first giveaway!

Happy Monday!

A month or two ago when Sheryl Sandberg’s book Option B came out, I bought a second copy with the intention of giving it away to a reader.  This book isn’t just for widows.  And then I put the book on my dining room table and forgot about it.

Recently my blog hit 20,000 pageviews and I have 100 WordPress followers.  So I thought what better way to celebrate than do that giveaway!

This book is applicable to anyone who has had any kind of loss whether it is a loss of a spouse, family member, a divorce or a loss of a job or career.

I am not one for rules so it will be pretty simple.

  1.  Contest is open to residents of U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec).
  2. To enter, just comment on this blog post and tell me one fun thing you plan to do this summer.
  3. One entry per person.
  4. Any anonymous comments will be deleted.
  5. Family members are not eligible.
  6. Contest ends on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:59 pm EST.
  7. Winner will be announced on the blog on Friday, June 23, 2017 st 8:00 am EST.
  8. Book will be mailed out once it is claimed.

So what fun thing do you plan to do this summer?

  1. Taking the kids to Disney next week! Mommy gets to dance on a big Disney stage, and the rest of the week is all about soaking up the magic. Here’s hoping my kiddos are as good at traveling as Miss Maddy is! 🙂 ❤

  4. I plan on going to the New Jersey shore for six weeks where I host kids and grandkids and friends who enjoy my hospitality. I plan to visit my sister in Lake George and kayak on the lake In the early mornings. I plan to attend 3 family weddings and dance my heart out at each one. I plan to go home to my childhood home and sleep in my bed and look for personal treasures in the attic of our barn.

  5. We are heading to the lake this weekend (glamping – NOT camping!) for lots of swimming and tubing. My parents’ neighbor hires a guy who puts on their own personal fireworks show and we always get a front row seat from their back deck. It’s our favorite weekend of the summer!

  7. This summer, I plan to live life to the fullest by ignoring the clock, schedules and to do list and focusing on being mindful and fully present and enjoying the little things. I am going to let spontaneity be the guide for my children and I so that we spend more time outside running around, in the pool, roasting marshmallows, building sand castles, laughing and playing together, staying up late and talking with each other. I am excited for our adventures and for the memories that will be created throughout the summer.

  9. I am excited about taking my daughter to spend a day in Philadelphia. We were there for a couple hours last week for an appointment, and she loved reading a timeline about William Penn that we stumbled onto. My girl enjoys history like her daddy did, so we will spend a day learning and exploring in Philly.
